Who we are
A few years ago, I stepped into the role of caregiver for my Dad. I quickly discovered a significant gap in care—he was not ready for memory care, yet he could no longer manage daily activities the way he once had. Hiring a traditional caregiver was not necessary so we explored assisted living options, but he struggled to thrive in those environments due to limited activities and, in some cases, high patient-to-caregiver ratios. During my visits, I often found myself spending time with his friends in the community—sharing laughter, conversation, and companionship—which brought light not only to them, but to my dad as well. Watching those friendships form showed me how powerful social connection truly is. As a holistic nutritionist who lives a healthy, balanced lifestyle and practices yoga, I began incorporating gentle wellness practices—such as chair yoga, mindful movement, and simple nourishment-focused conversations—into our time together. This experience inspired me to offer companionship services to aging individuals and peace of mind to adult children through thoughtful check-ins, enrichment activities, monthly haircuts, art, light errands, and most importantly, meaningful socialization that supports independence, dignity, and quality of life. No one should age alone!
